Come join us on the lawn for our DEAR Day Read-In on Friday, April 12th from 2:30-4:30 PM. National DEAR (Drop Everything and Read) Day is an annual event that happens on Beverly Cleary's birthday. Books will be available for you to explore and borrow, or you can bring your own book to read as we gather in celebration of reading. There will also be coloring sheets and DIY bookmarks. Texas Roadhouse will be providing lemonade and sweet tea. If this event is held on the lawn, we recommend that you bring a comfy chair or cozy blanket as our outdoor seating is very limited.

Attend this event and receive a special prize!
- Children will receive a prize from our collection.
- Teens will receive 3 bonus raffle tickets for our upcoming summer reading program.
- Adults will receive 3 bonus raffle tickets for our upcoming summer reading program.

Attendees of this event that would also like to participate in Flint Public Library's Spirit Week: Character Cosplay Day are welcome to dress as their favorite literary character to be entered into a raffle to receive a $15 gift card to Richardson's Ice Cream and a Dinner for Two voucher to Texas Roadhouse.
